I left data analysis to do this properly.

I’m Logan Russo. I coach people 1:1. In person at Levels Gym in Cumbernauld, and online across the UK.

I came into coaching from data analysis. That background is most of the reason I coach the way I do: I’m used to asking what the evidence actually says before deciding anything, and I’m allergic to confident claims with nothing underneath them. The fitness industry has rather a lot of those.

What made me switch was watching the gap between what coaches promise and what they deliver. Templates sold as personalisation. Motivation treated as the product, when motivation is the least reliable thing a person has. I thought I could do better than that, so I went and did it.

I’m currently studying Sport & Exercise Science, which is less about the certificate and more about not wanting to be a coach who stopped learning in 2019.

How I coach

Everything is 1:1. No groups, no challenges. A group programme can’t be built around your particular week, and your particular week is the thing that decides whether any of this works.

Nothing is a template. Your programme is written from your training history, your schedule, your injuries and the gym you actually go to. If two of my clients have the same programme, one of them is being short-changed.

Consistency is a structure problem, not a willpower problem. If someone stops training, the usual cause isn’t that they became lazy. It’s that the plan stopped fitting their life and nobody adjusted it. That’s what the weekly check-in exists to catch.

You get told the truth. Honest timelines even when a shorter one would close the sale. I’d rather tell you something takes twelve weeks than watch you quit in week five because someone promised you four.

The goal is that you eventually don’t need me. I explain why things work as we go. Coaching that builds dependency is a business model. I’d rather do the job properly.

Who I’m not the right coach for

Worth saying plainly, because it saves us both a call:

  • Anyone after a quick fix, or a specific number by a specific date.
  • Anyone who wants daily cheerleading in their phone.
  • Anyone shopping on price. I’m not the cheapest and I’m not trying to be.
  • Anyone who wants to be handed a plan and left alone with it. That’s a template, and templates are cheap elsewhere.

If you read that and thought “fine”, we’ll probably get on.
